TalentCorp Launches The National Diversity Summit And Women Career Convention 2022

KUALA LUMPUR: In its continuous efforts to attract, nurture and retain the best talent regardless of gender, as well as meet the needs of the industry, Talent Corporation Malaysia (TalentCorp) today launched the National Diversity Summit and Women Career Convention 2022, a two-day hybrid event catering to Malaysian talents.
The launch event was officiated by the Deputy Secretary General (Policy & International) Tuan A. Maniam representing the Minister of Human Resources, YB Datuk Seri M. Saravanan, accompanied by the Penang State’s Executive Councillor For Social Development & Non-Islamic Religious Affairs, YB Puan Chong Eng.
Datuk Seri M. Saravanan said that the Government through the Ministry of Human Resources will continue to support the women empowerment agenda as outlined in the Twelfth Malaysia Plan (12MP) targeting for 59 per cent of female participation in the labour market by 2025.
“The effort led by TalentCorp is significant in fulfilling the country's commitment under the Sustainable Development Goals, especially to achieve gender equality and empower all women,” he said during the launch event at the Eastin Hotel in Penang.
The opening ceremony of NDSxWCC 2022 TalentCorp was officiated by Tuan A. Maniam, Deputy Secretary General (Policy & International) of the Ministry of Human Resources (centre right) accompanied by YB Puan Chong Eng, Exco of Social Development and Non-Islamic Affairs of the State of Penang (centre) , with Thomas Mathew, Group CEO TalentCorp (middle left), TalentCorp's board of directors, as well as NSDxWCC 2022 committee representatives from Micron Memory Malaysia, Keysight Technologies, Penang Women Development Corporation, Motorola Solutions Malaysia, Intel Malaysia , and Dell Technologies Malaysia.
The National Diversity Summit and Women Career Convention (NDSxWCC) 2022 is the first hybrid career event for the women community, to be held from 15th and 16th of August 2022 at the Eastin Hotel, Penang and through a virtual platform. A series of panel discussions and workshops have been lined out for this event, featuring speakers from the Penang Women's Development Corporation, Intel Malaysia, Dell Technologies, Micron Memory Malaysia, Keysight Technologies, Motorola Solutions Malaysia, and Universiti Sains Malaysia.
Thomas Mathew, Group Chief Executive Officer said, “Our goal is to ensure that the Malaysian labour market is free from discrimination and marginalisation, in line with the Shared Prosperity Vision 2030. We also hope that companies in Malaysia will continue to increase their efforts and commitment to develop a workplace and a workforce that prioritises diversity, inclusiveness, and equality.”
The NDSxWCC 2022 features a hybrid career fair where 60 companies will offer more than 1,000 job opportunities to Malaysian talents. Participating companies include Berjaya Sompo Insurance, Colas Rail Asia, EY, Experian Malaysia, First Solar Malaysia, Frost & Sullivan, Grant Thornton Malaysia, Hong Leong Bank, KPMG Malaysia, MBSB Bank, Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia, Public Mutual Berhad, RHB Bank, Rohde & Schwarz Malaysia, Rohm Semiconductor Malaysia, Universiti Tunku Abdul Tahman, Vitrox, Gamuda Berhad, and Exxonmobil Malaysia.
