Malaysia’s Top Employers Hungry For Fresh Graduate Talent
KUALA LUMPUR, 19 January 2016 - Top employers continue to recruit Malaysian fresh graduates, with over 50 leading companies such as Accenture, Celcom Axiata, First Solar, Frost & Sullivan, IBM, Public Bank and Top Glove participating in the Sector Focused Career Fair (SFCF) Big Bang held on 19 & 20 January at the TM Convention Centre. The more than 50 participating employers represent various sectors such as Global Business Services, ICT, Electronics and Financial Services will be operating booths, conducting walk interviews and career talks.
The SFCF Big Bang is organised by Talent Corporation Malaysia Berhad (TalentCorp), and is the first in its SFCF series for 2016 with a further four career fairs to be held later this year at Universiti Tenaga Nasional Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah campus in Pahang, Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris in Perak, Universiti Malaysia Sarawak and Universiti Malaysia Perlis.
“While there are indications of a softening job market, we are encouraged that Malaysia’s leading employers continue to actively recruit fresh graduates, judging by their participation at the SFCF Big Bang. We hope that our fresh graduates make good use of this opportunity at SFCFs to apply for jobs, attend interviews and engage with employers to better understand what they’re looking for in jobseekers,” said Johan Mahmood Merican, CEO of TalentCorp.
Having reached out to more than 10,000 young people last year, the SFCF series provides an opportunity for graduates to meet with corporate leaders and senior human resource representatives of participating companies while providing a platform for companies to scout for potential talents from universities in Malaysia.
The SFCF Big Bang is open to the public and admission is free. For further information on TalentCorp and the SFCF series, please visit www.talentcorp.com.my or www.facebook.com/SectorFocusedCareerFairSFCF.
