Global Malaysian Connects Malaysians Abroad To Professional Opportunities Back Home
SYDNEY, 30 SEPTEMBER 2014 – In conjunction with the GRADUAN – MASCA Australia Recruitment Drive 2014, Talent Corporation Malaysia Berhad (TalentCorp) met with Malaysian professionals working in Australia and unveiled ‘Global Malaysians’ (https://myStarjob.com/globalmalaysians/), a new online job board to connect Malaysian professionals working overseas with leading Malaysian employers keen to tap on Malaysians with international experience and expertise.
“Malaysians abroad for many years sometimes find it challenging to look for jobs back home. At the same time, leading employers are in critical need of talent and value talent with global perspectives. Global Malaysians provides a platform to bring together overseas Malaysians and top employers,” shared Johan Mahmood Merican, chief executive officer of TalentCorp at a professional networking session in Sydney.
Global Malaysians, a collaboration between TalentCorp and myStarjob.com, already offers more than 200 mid to senior professional positions from over 40 leading employers covering key sectors of the economy such as OSRAM, Shell, IBM, BASF Petronas Chemicals, KPMG, Hong Leong Bank and Gamuda.
“Malaysia remains a great place to work for ambitious talent given the ample opportunities and because hard work gets rewarded,” said Patrick Ng, PwC Assurance & Human Capital Partner at the Sydney leg of GRADUAN – MASCA Australia Recruitment Drive 2014.
“Our businesses continue to grow and with that our need for talent. Gamuda actively recruits, including Malaysians from abroad given the shortage of skillsets we require and because our businesses need global Malaysians, talent with international experience and expertise,” explained Lai Tak Ming, Gamuda Berhad Director of Group Human Resources & Administration, on Gamuda’s participation in the Australia recruitment drive and as an employer on Global Malaysians.
