Industry-Driven Talent Acceleration Programme (ID-TAP)
The Industry-Driven Talent Acceleration Programme (ID-TAP) is a collaborative framework aimed at upskilling and reskilling Malaysians to address critical skills gap in critical sectors.
The programme, currently driven through State Skills Development Centres across the country aims to equip individuals with the knowledge and competencies required by industries, such as mechatronics, electrical and electronic engineering, big data analytics, IT and more.
The fluidity of the ID-TAP framework allows us to work across Government agencies, industries, academia, and skills development centres to ensure the upskilling and right-skilling are conducted based on latest insights and requirements from our industry partners.
For the first phase of the ID-TAP’s implementation, we work in collaboration with Perbadanan Tabung Pembangunan Kemahiran (PTPK) and members of the Federation of Malaysian Skills Development Centres (FMSDC).
ID-TAP was established in 2021 with the core mission to empower and elevate individuals by providing them with the essential practical skills and knowledge needed to excel in today's dynamic workforce. It is designed to improve the quality, calibre, and productivity of workers, in addition to increasing competitiveness in key sectors and industries.
OUR APPROACH
The ID-TAP framework is based on industry-needs approach, where employers identify both skills and workers that they require.
